STAMPS

These virtual stamps have been an old fantasy of mine. Nowadays you can print real stamps from the web, but at the times when I started to design these you could have only used them to send a smile overseas. Which is still their primary purpose.
"Yurka and Lena", March 1998

"Cat", March 1998
These two stamps are dedicated to my friend Yura Tarasov. It was his birthday and I wanted to congratulate him in some way. So I gave him a call, and, well, also I came up with these stamps.
This is Nelia. The picture was taken in Iliechevo, near St. Petersburg, Russia. This was a group picture but I figured that Nelia looks great by herself. On the stamp at least.
"Nelia", March 1998

"Eugene", March 1998
Well, this is me. The same good old Iliechevo. Once again this is a fragment of a group picture where my neighbor on the left is Nelia ( see above ). I guess it might had been a better idea to make one more stamp with a neighbor on the left.
This is Alexei Bogoslovsky at the Birthday party of Serega Ostapenko. It was not all that wild that night, but Alexei likes the song with this name a lot. Most of us do. Wild thing, ta-ta, tam-tam, ta-ta, wild thing...
"Wild Thing", April 1998

"Lech Kuchin", May 1998
This is Alex Kuchin, a picture taken from a high-school photo album, 8th grade. At that innocent time words "ERP", "consulting" and "overcharging client" did not mean that much to Alex...
Alisa... Nice picture. It is at the wedding party of Alisa's friend Vera. She danced and she danced and she danced... and then there was a wedding cake.
"Alisa", October 1998

"Alehandro", October 1998
Alehandro, Sasha Stetsenko actually. Looking gooood. Originally, that's him sitting in his room with his head leaning on his right hand. A little bit of Photoshop magic and he became a famous Argentinean leader.
